Living With Diffuse Pain
You’ve been living with it for longer than you can remember. There’s not a specific date or incident you can point to as to when, or how, your discomfort started. It doesn’t keep you from getting to work or doing what you need to do on a day to day basis. When someone asks you ‘where does it hurt?’ you can’t really point to it. You may have been through physical therapy, a pharmaceutical regimen, and surgery with little or no benefit. It could be a diffuse pain syndrome like fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis or a variety of other syndromes. It’s not uncommon for people to simply shrug their shoulders and ‘push through it’ with ibuprofen or acetaminophen. If you’re living with chronic or diffuse pain it is recommended that you seek out a physician for an exam and diagnosis.
In my practice, I’ve encountered many patients who’ve dealt with pain for long periods of time, and many of them have tried all of the treatments they could without success. They call the chiropractor as a ‘last ditch effort’ to get some relief. A great number of them find the relief they’ve been seeking from chiropractic treatment. Chiropractic is a safe, effective and non-invasive way to restore joint mobility and nerve function which could be leading to your discomfort. Make chiropractic care a priority in your life.
